In a nutshell: take pictures and edit them with various tools in krita, sometimes even smudgeing them out or stretching them in repetitive patterns. Then form a new picture with the previously edited ones by overlapping them and making their colors blend in various ways (aswell as changeing their colors) so it makes it look more whole. The Brown collage is a bad example btw, that was the first time i ever tried experimenting with anything like this, and while i like the concept of it, the execution of that specefic one is very poor.

I really love the soft grain filter you have. How do you do that?

Hi, really easy stuff on Procreate - I just take the whole finished painting and run it through the grain effect at like 1-2%
I don’t use Photoshop or other apps much but I imagine it’s the same as adding a whole layer of noise and lowering the opacity really low, this image has also been slightly directionally blurred from left to right so the grain is softer on the windmill side..
Honestly I just finish a painting and then fuck around with effects until it looks less digital.
